Greek Myths Vs. The Navajo Myth

All lot of people ask the question “How was the world created?” There is a bunch of different myths just about how we got our mountains and skies. When asked, “What myth is better, the Greek myth or the Navajo myth”, the Greek myth was a no brainer. After comparing the two myths, I think the Greek myth is a better story by the use of characters, fantasy, and action. The adventure all the characters go through in the Greek myth made the story more thrilling than the Navajo myth. In the Greek myth, Mother Earth and Father Heaven go threw a lot together. They created three cyclops, titans, and three fifty headed monsters. In the Navajo myth, the insects create wings and fly to a new world. The Greek myth told the story on how Zeus overruled Cronus. Cronus’s worst fear was of this happening. In the Navajo myth, the creatures found another world that they want to stay in. Not much competition between the two. A second example from the Greek myth is how Zeus gave Cronus something to drink that made him throw up with children. His children came out in one piece and were still alive. On the contrary, the Navajo myth talks about how the first man and woman planted a reed and it brought them into a new world. It’s clear which story had more action. The use of action makes a story more interesting; however, it’s the combination of all three of the elements that makes the story an overall more enjoyable read. The Greek myth is a better story than the Navajo myth by the use of characters, fantasy, and action. After comparing and contrasting the Greek myth and the Navajo myth, not only did the Greek myth have more intriguing characters, it also had more exciting fantasy and action. Out of all the different stories to choose from, it was clear that the Greek myth was the best story to explain how the world was
