Concept: Love affair
Springboard: A story about Zeus and his inability to remain monogamous.
Context: Ancient Greece
Setting: Greece
Backstory: After several failed marriages, Zeus settles on marrying his sister, and goddess of marriage, Hera. They lived a happy life in the year 1200 B.C.E. and had four children together: Eilithya, Ares, Hebe, and Hephaestus. However, Zeus was still fixated on affairs even though he was married to Hera. He continued to cheat on her throughout the marriage and Hera soon became outraged. She decided that if she couldn’t have Zeus then no one would, and began to extract revenge on his mistresses. The story will follow closely to the actual events that are recorded in Greek Mythology. It will be about how Zeus came into contact with the women he had affairs with. It’s going to follow Hera at the same time and show the players what she’s feeling as this happens behind her back.
The B-Story will be briefer stories about the other goddesses Zeus came into contact with. For example, since each level is about a different goddess, the player will learn a little about that character at the beginning of the level. So instead of one sub story, this game with have several sub stories.
The C-Runner will be between an outside “character” and the main characters Zeus and Hera. The outside character is the narrator that will be telling the player of Zeus and Hera’s stories as well as their actions. The comedic relief will mainly be between the narrator and Zeus, as the narrator will often make snide and sarcastic remarks about his choices and actions, causing them to argue with each other. The narrator tries not to make any remarks to Hera because he’s afraid of her, even though he isn’t a physical
