“Yes, sweetie, and you can see the gods in anything,” the woman responded as a smile spread across her dark complexion.
“The child gasped again and looked around, jumped up, grabbed a flower, then ran back to his mother and asked with stars in his eyes, “Who’s is the god of flowers?”
“Goddess,” his mother corrected. “And that’s Persephone, the goddess of spring and Hades wife.”
A look of confusion crossed the child’s face, he look down in deep thought then he asked, “Who is Hades again?”
The woman laughed loudly and smiled down at her child, “Hades is the god of the underworld, sweetie.”
“Will I meet the gods someday?” the child asked wonder once again gleaming in his green eyes.
“Yes you will, but you can see the god’s essence,” the woman said with the as a matter of fact tone present.
The child look confused once again, “Huh? What do you mean momma?”
“When you look at the flowers in spring you see Persephone, when the sun is shining you see Apollo, when it rains you see Zeus. All the gods and goddesses can be found in what they represent,” the mother responded.
