The British museum is one of the well respected and visited museums in the world. The museum in London is a tourist attraction, people all over the world travel so that they can experience the broad exhibition of art that is displayed in the museum. It is understood the museums displays art from all over the world but the Elgin marbles have been requested to return to its homeland. The Greeks were under oppression and not under their own rule. They were exploited and had no control as to what was happening to pieces of their culture.
