Have you ever met a greedy person before? If you haven’t well today you will know someone that is and that person is Macbeth. The theme of greed has been revealed in Macbeth, still continues today in modern society. Macbeth was super greedy for power which I would understand because who doesn’t want power or want to get power. I’m going to tell you more about how Macbeth and today’s modern society are still greedy so buckle up because it’s going to be a bumpy ride.

Macbeth is greedy for power so he killed King Duncan for his power. “Vaulting ambition, which o’erleaps itself and falls on th’ other (Shakespeare 1.7.27-28).” This quote here is telling you that Macbeth is being overly greedy with wanting to kill Duncan and that’s one reason why he is greedy. What I think of this quote is that Macbeth is not a very nice person at all? A lot of people in this society are super greedy for what they have and what they want to get.

Whenever someone takes more than what they need their is always someone that will miss out. “I grant him bloody, luxurious, avaricious, false, deceitful, sudden, malicious, smacking of every sin that has a name (4.3.70-74).” Here’s a different quote and this one talks about how Macbeth is being described as a person or someone that has a little too much evil in the world. People now that have luxurious things are super greedy sometimes or they are just too cocky. I think it was yesterday that a guy went to a elementary school and killed like 4 little kids. I think that is super sad because put yourself in that situation as a parent and you just got a call and you heard that your son/daughter has been killed this morning.
