The United States of America vs Japan The United States of America and Japan tend to be unlike each other in numerous ways. For starters the United States of America, formerly known as America, is located in North America between Mexico and Canada and made up of fifty states. America is mainly known for its Western culture. Japan is island in Asia near South Korea; Japan in also known mainly for its interesting culture, but also wonderful food, marvelous entertainment, and beautiful cities. Japan is a stunning country full of culture, however it does not compare to America. Opposite of Japan, America is full of opportunities and a blend of different races, religions, and cultures; why America is called a “melting pot” which is a country that offers a large variety of cultures and races that mingle and blend together as one whereas Japan stays the same everywhere. Culture is beliefs, traditions, arts, in a certain group of individuals. When thinking about Japanese culture, individuals automatically think about samurai in their armor carrying their katanas, anime/ manga, sushi, tea, sumo wrestlers, and young Japanese women in beautiful face paint in their kimonos formerly known as geishas.Japan only has one beautiful culture while America has multiple cultures; which helped sculpt what is known as Western culture. Also in Japan there is only one major language spoken (Japanese), and a couple of major religions (Shintoism and Buddhism). While America has over 300 religions and languages some main religions would be Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, and Judaism; the major languages spoken in America is English, Spanish, and French. When people think of American culture they tend to think of a mix of people eating greasy fast food while watching baseball or football; when American culture is more than that
