I was uncomfortable watching The Wolf of Wall Street because of the raunchy scenes in the movie. Because there is a lot to write about, my first draft was very unorganized. I jumped around in my argument and at times it seemed that my body paragraph had no correlation. I rewrote my essay again to hopefully clarify my points and what I was arguing. Once again, my ideas were not clearly expressed. After conferencing with Ileana I realized that I was not confident with my essay, so I rewrote my essay for a third time. However, before I wrote my essay, I wrote out an outline for my essay which helped organize my thought into a cohesive idea. While writing my outline I realized that I had many ideas tangled together, which allowed me to separate them as individual ideas. At times, I would just write about both texts together in order to have ideas flowing through my mind as well. I also found it useful to just talk to someone else about my idea because that would allow me to articulate my idea clearly to the person, and their insights usually helped form other ideas as well. After my outline, I worked on my body paragraphs first and then worked on my introduction and conclusion paragraph. It’s easier for me to have a written outline before I start writing anything for my essay. Outlining helped a lot in writing this essay. I wish that I made a solid outline from the beginning because that would have saved me some
