2. Research Points Jesus gave this task to the apostles, shortly before he ascended into Heaven, and essentially describes what Jesus expected the apostles and those who follow them, do in His absence. Interestingly, in the original Greek, the only specific commandment in Matthew 28: 19-20 is "go" and "make disciples." Baptizing them and teaching them all that Jesus commanded. "Go," and "make disciples" is the mandate of the Great Commission, "baptizing" and "teaching" are the means by which people fulfill the aspect of "make disciples" of the Great Commission. The Great Commission is empowered by the power of the Holy Spirit. People must be witnesses of Christ, fulfilling the Great Commission in our cities, in our states and countries, and anywhere else where God sends us. 2.1 The Great Commission - A Personal Order
The Great Commission is one of the most significant passages in the Holy Bible. First, it is the last registered order given by Jesus to his disciples. Second, it is a special of Jesus Christ for all His followers to act specifically on this earth called. This section will focus on the realization of the promise made in the Old Testament and that it became a reality in the New Testament.

This commandment of Jesus is important because it is a personal order for Christians to have a deep faith in Jesus Christ as indicated in verse 18. “All power is given unto me in heaven and on earth.” This is an incredibly powerful statement, which demands faith in Jesus Christ, validating His power in the lives of Christians and their commitment to Him. This verse acts as a clear affirmation of the omnipotence of Christ, and therefore, His deity. If Christians do not believe this statement, there is no complete faith.
