Do you know that over the past 20 years, surveys indicated there is a continual decline in apes population? The population of apes has further declined from the number 100,000 in 1980, and this decline will continue if we don’t help them to survive.
Most apes live in Cameroon and Congo basins and other central African equatorial regions. These apes share 99% of the human DNA. They can live up to 60 years and they are capable of intelligent communication. Apes have a comprehension level of a six-year old child with an IQ of 80, just like many humans. Also, they can learn languages just like us, so they can become a potential friend of us!
However, these intelligent creatures are under all sorts of threats now.
