Like one of my friend, she and her family interact in our society by helping the homeless every week, by giving the food and clothes. Therefore, to be a socially responsible member of the American society you have to complete three tasks, one you have to show gratitude, to you have to volunteer, and three you have to have courage.…

Throughout the ages, people every era have been interested in the power of gratitude... From a scientific point of view, the power of gratitude is a "high frequency" emotion, and as Rhonda Byrne from "The Secret" says, it's second only to love on the emotion scale. I used to think that "thank you" was just a polite thing to learn to say. As children, we learn that we are given what we want only when we say "please" and "thank you". This actually is not a bad thing to teach children, whether or not you believe in the "secret power of gratitude", since I think we can agree that it's a way to get people to help you out. You know how people are more willing to help you when you act appreciative.…

But what catches you by surprise is how much you receive in return.” This demonstrates why many people do not feel that they should give back because they do not believe the benefits that they can get from it as well. Consequently, when creating that feeling of happiness and satisfaction in someone else’s life, it comes back to the person creating it. Volunteering to help someone get tutored, help the handicapped, involve themselves with a program like Meals on Wheels, certain environmental work, etc., not only does one gain from that, but one’s community has been helped because of them.…
