Gravity pulls objects down to the ground once you have droped the object. The height of the ball affects the bounce height for the ball. First of all, gravity slows the ball’s upward movement if it is tossed up in the air until it has a vertical speed of zero then, gravity hastens the ball’s downward movement until the ball finally hits the ground. Equally important, force is any push or pull that causes an object to accelerate, decelerate, stop, or change direction. A good example is if a ball is tossed in the air it is still affected by gravity. But, force is when you actually toss the ball in the air then gravity pulls it down.
