Graphical Analysis Versus Experimental Analysis

Decent Essays
When comparing the percent errors, you can clearly see from the summary table that the graphical analysis is closer to the mathematical analysis, meaning that it is closer to accurate than the experimental analysis. In the third problem the magnitude of the measured result was way off from the magnitude calculated in the mathematical analysis. Therefore, the more accurate method of adding and subtracting vectors is the graphical analysis when you cannot use the mathematical method.

    Antiseptic Lab Report

Two ways this experiments data could be considered more reliable is that, there were many runs of the experiment done all with the same parameters and the results are an average of all of the groups’ data. Another reason would that each group could have done the experiment slightly differently and gotten a different result thus showing what changing a variable can do to change the results. One region of bias in this experiment would be that one of the antiseptics used was the Purell hand sanitizer, which is intended to be used on ones hands instead of the face, so it would work less effectively than intended. Two experimental errors our group could have made would be: The agar could have been broken thus preventing bacteria from growing in the gash made. Or our group could have transferred more bacteria to one of the quadrants and not equaled the amount of bacteria in the other quadrants of the Petri…

The percentage of uncertainty evaluates my data by showing how accurate my results are. The Sarsons and Pickling vinegar I titrated were extremely accurate as there was 0.04% and 0.05%of uncertainty, whereas the ASDA vinegar I titrated was 0.20% uncertainty; this was the highest percentage of uncertainty which shows that this vinegar is the most unreliable in order to compare to the results of the market stall vinegar titration. Conclusion: In conclusion trading standards believe that the market stall suspect vinegar has been watered down. The concentrations present this as the standard vinegars show a similar concentration; Sarsons has the molarity of 0.88 mol dm-3, which is 5.3% in percentage concentration; ASDA has the molarity of 0.81…

In the process of designing my model for the bridge in Part B, I used the sliders given to move the parabola as close to my Sydney Harbor Bridge. While in Part D, I used pencil and paper to find the equations for the bridge. Primarily, I believe my equation for Part D was much more accurate than Part B. This is because errors such as calibration errors occurred within Desmos. The sliders on Desmos were measured in a large-scale reading, making it less precise for the parabola to match the bridge. When doing the calculation by hand, I was able to zoom in on the picture on Desmos to get a small (detailed) reading for my equation of the parabola.…

The line graph compares the rates of 3 different types of crime in Newport city centre during the 10-year period from 2003 to 2012. Overall, it is clear that burglary has the most cases happened each year, but the least for robbery. In the first year, the number of burglary incidents stood at the highest point at about 3400 approximately compared to 2800 incidents for car theft and only 600 for robbery cases.…

Genetic Analysis in Plants Trev Mumm and Peter Masinelli Life 120 – Lab Section 122 April 28th, 2014 ABSTRACT We completed this lab to classify and count phenotypic traits in plant crosses with one or two segregating mutations, and we also learned how to use the Chi-Square test as a tool to access the statistical significance data collected from a genetic cross. Our hypothesis for the experiment that included green and albino corn genetics, was that the ratio of green to albino seedlings would be 3:1. Our results showed that we were almost exactly right with that hypothesis.…

I had set in mind the objectives that I wanted to accomplish for the day. One of the goals was to do a complete charting on one patient and my other goal was to work on time management. Charting in PACU is quite different than a regular floor because in PACU the charting has to be every five minutes times three when the patient arrives to the unit and then every fifteen minutes for about two hours until the patient is stable. When the patient is stable the vital sings and assessment are done every thirty minutes. As soon as the patient arrived to the floor, I was ready to connect my patient to the monitors and assess my patient.…

As students spent some decent amount of time in the experiment, they will come up with some data and the final step for students is to record their data and compare their data with other groups. The following graph chart is based on the data that are provide from four different groups in the class: This diagram shows the coliform growth data from four different groups. According to the data, we can easily calculate that the mean value of coliform growth in Ottawa river is 346.50, the standard deviation is 62.34 and the standard error is 31.17. The mean value, standard deviation, and the standard error for tap water is all zero since there is not coliform growth in the tap water.…

With these measurement techniques there is a risk for interrater error. To reduce the risk, these measurements will be taken twice by two different members of the research team. If the two measurements are not the same, but they are relatively similar, the average will be calculated and accepted as the measurement used for the research study. Should the two measurements not be similar, the primary investigator will conduct the third measurement, which will be used instead of the two previous…

Throughout the semester, I had found this class challenging especially with the post lab reports. I found the post labs difficult because there was so much to write and mention. If I had gotten one part of the lab wrong, a lot of my results and labeled parts of the graphs would be wrong as well. In order to make this class successful, I found myself starting the post labs as soon as I got out of lab when it was fresh in my memory. Writing up the post labs was very time consuming so starting earlier was a smart idea for me considering that I have other work from different classes as well.…

duction: A cantilever is a rigid beam vertically supported on only one end with a load on the other end (“Wikipedia”). Typically, if one were to place a weight towards the free end of a cantilever, some bending, or flexion, would be expected. Flexion, in this case, is the action of bending or the condition of being bent (“Merriam-Webster”).…
