Smokers know the risks involved, although for many, they see the benefits (i.e. stress reduction, weight loss, help with fear and stress, etc.) as outweighing the possible health issues. Many who have heard about nutrition, either reports on television or conversations with our physicians, have also started reading the labels on the foods we purchase, looking for the amount of fat, calories, carbohydrates, sugars, etc. If the content is too high in one or more of those categories, there are those who will think twice about making the purchase. I am not sure the same idea would work with tobacco products, knowing exactly what it is that you are putting into your body may have a direct effect. In the same regards as graphic images for tobacco products, on food items they may discourage people from buying unhealthy foods. Individuals know that sugar can rot their teeth, that fatty foods can make them fat, but still choose to eat those foods. Another reason may be these foods are cheaper than so called "healthier" ones, and the individual may not be able to afford
