A graphic designers work would include having to discuss the requirements of their project with their clients and also colleagues. Along with this communication they must provide the costs for this project, along with choosing the most suitable materials and style for the project that they are creating. The reason why you would need good communication skills for being a graphic designer is because you have to speak to your clients and workers to see if they have everything that needs to be done within the projects, and also making sure that they do it on time as well. As for a journalist, they must have good communication skills since they will have to attend a lot of different events, and also talk to people whenever or if they are interviewing them at some point. Not only this, but journalist also have to communicate with the people that they work with, which will also consist of needing good communicate but also teamwork.
Both of these jobs need for you to be up to date with the trends that are going on at this time, but not only this, you must also be flexible with your working hours, seeing as both of the working hours for these jobs are long and irregular.
