With Tom, the son who just got out of jail on parole is now trying to lead the family to a better life. He and the family load up the truck and start their journey west. Coming to face with many hardships like their grandfather passing away. They end up meeting other families trying to reach the dream of a better life as well. The Joad’s finally reach California and realize it’s not what they hoped. With the plot being very believable and very thought-provoking. The theme played a great role as well with many being portrayed. One important theme that stuck out
