From the multimedia readings, the grant process is extremely tedious, and from all indications, the process of obtaining a grant can be extremely complex.The grant process entails more than presenting a few documentation to show that an applicant is worthy of the grant they are vying for. Hence in order for an applicant to obtain a grant, such applicant must present a proposal that is concise and well researched. To this end, the language of the grant proposal must convey clarity, comprehensiveness, and Knowledge of the subject being presented. Moreover, the grant proposal must convey Commitment of the applicant.
Prior to this class, my thought about writing a grant was presenting a good argument about why a grant is needed

However, once the grant is approved, the pre-award and award process begins, The pre-award and the award process is for the grantee to ensure that the recipient of their award is compliance with federal laws, regulations,and policies. The pre-award and the award stage also allows for the protection of the integrity of the overall scientific endeavor. The process following the award process is the post-award monitoring and reporting. At this stage, the recipient must have in place a process that will allow them to be stewards of the funds awarded to them. Overall, it is a long and tedious process that required the collaboration of experts to craft a well documented and convincing grant proposal. Interestingly, there are various grants being offered in my community for various projects and to my surprise, there are coupled of government and private grants available to residents of the United States, that are interested in innovation, community development, women’s empowerment to name a few.
In a nutshell, prior to this week, I did not know that the grant proposal entails enormous work, the intricacy of the requirements and the letter of intent prior to sending the proposal are new notions for
