Elen Character Analysis

“Every seven-year-old deserves a superhero. That’s just how it is.” (Backman 1). Elsa is seven years old and different. Her grandmother is seventy-seven and crazy. Granny is Elsa’s best and only friend. Elsa’s grandmother is someone that is continuously making Elsa’s life brighter and always picking up Elsa when she falls. Every night Granny takes Elsa to the Land-of-Almost-Awake and the Kingdom of Miamas where no one needs to be normal and everyone is different. Then one day, Elsa realizes her grandmother is very sick and will not be around much longer. The day she passes, Elsa’s greatest adventure begins. She receives a series of letters sent by Granny to be sent to all who she has wronged during her life. The first letter was addressed with his name on it. From the beginning Wolfheart had been a very scary man that always wore a hooded sweatshirt and didn’t talk to anyone. Always very dark and mysterious. But little did people know, he is someone with a huge heart and intriquite past. He fought in war and later on, Elsa comes to find out, this is why he appears to be such a dark person. He soon becomes Elsa’s bodyguard as many others will become as the story goes on. But Wolfheart is a little different, he guards Elsa in a way that many could not. In the darkest situations, he was always there to keep her out of danger. He always knew where Elsa was and when to come to her help. After one hard day of putting her Granny to rest, Elsa became very upset and did what she does best, she ran. She ran to the cemetery where her grandmother will soon lay to rest. As she is collecting all of her thoughts and emotions she smells something familiar.
