No one likes to spend time in the hospital. It feels sterile and entirely uncomfortable to lie in bed for days. One woman was especially uncomfortable in her hospital bed. Unfortunately, she ended up developing a case of pneumonia. She was immediately taken to the closest hospital. While the antibiotics were supposed to help, the doctors wanted Gloria to stay at the hospital for a week.
As she sat in her hospital bed, Gloria spent her time staring out the window. Since she was on the third floor, she could easily watch the workers building the new hospital entrance. She was worried about the safety of the workers. Meanwhile, the workers started to become concerned about Gloria. One ironworker, Jeff Reick, started noticing Gloria's face in the window every day. He had no clue why she was in the hospital, but he hoped that it was not because of anything serious.
Jeff waved at Gloria in the window one day. Gloria waved back. When she looked down again, she saw that Jeff had written a get well message in the snow. It was only a simple gesture, but it was so kind and thoughtful. She had been watching the ironworkers for days, but she never realized that they had noticed her as well.

The ironworkers were shocked by Gloria's response. Gloria had been worried about the safety of the ironworkers, so she wrote a note for them that said to stay safe. Then, she put it in the window for the ironworkers to
