Jacob stays hidden but thinks he might learn something from the stranger and follows her. He follows her through the bog and end up in what looks like the village except it looks newer he quickly gets taken to the house by Emma where Mrs. Peregrine is waiting on him. Mrs. Peregrine asks him what he was doing at the house and he replied that he was looking for her, he also explains that he thought she was dead.
