Grand Street Settlement (GSS) is an organization which provides sections of New York City with various social services, including Early Head Start (EHS). EHS is a federally-funded program meant to close the gap in childhood outcomes between those in poverty and those in the rest of the population. It consists of programs which connect families to a network of needed educational, medical, and other social services and which provide a place that fosters their ongoing development.
