I graduated in May 2013 with my Baccalaureate of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from West Texas A&M. During my studies, I realized I enjoy the challenge of learning new skills. What I appreciate the most from my time spent in college are all the wonderful relationships I built with my classmates and teachers. Networking with fellow teachers has helped guide me through the difficulties which hovered over me even to this day. After a minor setback in college, I discovered I have a difficulty with maintaining a system to my notes and classwork. I tend to want everything in its’ rightful place; consequently, I become extremely frustrated and overwhelmed when I do not have an organization. I believe my school was unsuccessful in this transition due to not having an individual in the position to effectively facilitate teachers into the Google classroom. I want to properly blend classroom’s curriculum with technology, no matter where my career takes me. Due to my husband being the military I choose Grand Canyon University (GCU) because their distance learning was available in many places. After talking with an advisor, I learned why my aunt was adamant about attending GCU for her doctorate. Earning my degree in Curriculum and Instruction was cultivated by observing the struggles of educators at the various schools I worked at. I would like to provide the support needed to other educators to enhance student learning without diminishing the student’s work ethic. As a science teacher, I currently use some aspects of technology in my classroom; however, I would like to expand my knowledge and become a subject matter expert in those

For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to attend North Dakota State University. My dad and sister are NDSU alumni, so furthering my education where they did provides us with a unique bond. Additionally, not many of my relatives attended college, allowing me to see the difficulties in providing for oneself and family without a college degree. Although I know the next seven years are going to be challenging, extremely strenuous, and will push me to the edge of my comfort zone, the satisfaction of administering medical services to those who need them will make it worthwhile. True and significant life is found in Jesus Christ and because of my firm conviction of this it has been my primary objective to point people to Jesus. Being persuaded that Christ wants Christians and especially those who take leadership roles to minister to the needs of others, I have ordered my life to conform to that conviction. Ultimately, Jesus desires that each Christian serves him by serving others; this is accomplished in a variety of ways – feeding those who are hungry, teaching everyone the life saving Gospel, and by leading in a way that reflects the glory of Christ. It has been my immense pleasure to have had the opportunity to preach God’s Word to thousands of people over the past fifteen years. It is my sincere passion to see people embrace Christ Jesus as their Lord and savior and to be transformed by the renewing of their minds through the Word of God.…
