GCU is committed to Christian values by guiding and providing education with Christian culture. Grand Canyon University’s mission statement constructs students to become global citizens, critical thinkers, effective communicators and responsible leaders. Global Citizens comprehend and compliments people’s point of views. Critical thinkers are people who pursue knowledge in finding a resolution and not a problem. Effective communicators are people emerging communication skills by writing and speaking to perceive others. Responsible Leaders are servant leaders, accountable for their actions and their consequences. I am attending GCU because I am learning important values to succeed in life. I am learning that “faith is a precious gift for those who have it and without it, nothing is possible” (Joyce, 2012, p.132). GCU 's established on four pillars, which are Academic Advancement, Christian Camaraderie, Extracurricular Excellence, and Wellness & Well-Being (A Proud History, 2008, n.d.). The first pillar is Academic Advancement which helps students interact with other students with its intention to learn from one another. Second, Christian Camaraderie helps students develop a sense of trust to meet their goals. Third, Extracurricular Excellence helps students bond with each other in events and many other activities. Finally, Wellness & Well-Being are students coming together in hypothetical and spirituality to sustenance each other. I worship GCU’s values because these statements correspond to my set of morals and traditions. I consider myself a global citizen because I like being a part of a community that shares different beliefs. I am able to become a critical thinker by understanding the different point of views. GCU is helping me become an effective communicator by challenging my writing skills. GCU is teaching me to become a leader and servant on every decision I make. I chose GCU because I have faith it will help me pursue my
