When I first got this assignment, I felt overwhelmed thinking that we may not have an emergency operations center in Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka, Japan. Needless did I know no matter where you are in the world they have one or something similar to the effect to help aid in disasters or crisis matters. I called the operator to on a wild card to get the number and to my surprised, there was one! I was too ecstatic to call the emergency manager to make an appointment but most importantly check out the emergency operations center on base. I spoke with the emergency manager he told me that he would call me back but I ended up following up with him. I spoke with assistance and he told me that he had to go on emergency leave
