Graduation Speech: Zohar Rithmah Club

Decent Essays
Hello, Ladies. It has been a quiet year in Fort Nelson, but the members of Zohar Rithmah Club have met, shared laughter and ideas. We have elected our officers for the upcoming year and are looking to increase our membership. We welcome new members and any visitors who happen to come to our town.

We are happily anticipating Queen-Elect Fran Johnson’s visit in September, at which time we hope new members can be initiated.

David Wallace Foster’s Kenyon College Commencement Speech is extremely successful for a multitude of reasons. It is not so much inspirational or revolutionary or epic, just simply honest. His speech is blunt about what people will face in their life after education. That adult life is boring, repetitive, trivial, tiring. Yet despite being adult life being unsatisfactory, Wallace always says it will only be those things because of your perspective.…

Each member of the fellowship has the chance to run the meeting, and most of them are alcoholics. It is basically a welcome of newcomers and sharing of personal experience and ideas. The meeting has about 33 people, including visitors and sponsors. Ages vary from young adult to old people, but most are at middle age.…

Since 2011 this program has been adding students each year to where we had six during the 2013/2014 school year. This program more than doubled for the 2014/2015 school year when other sponsors joined Heather in providing scholarships to worthy students in Liberia. We currently provide scholarships to students attending three different schools in the Monrovia area.…

What do you consider to be your most meaningful contribution to Colleges Against Cancer during the 2015-16 year? I think I consider my participation in Relay for Life event as the most meaningful contribution that I have made to Colleges Against Cancer during the school year. I was not able to attend Tuesday meetings especially on winter quarter because of a job I had that needed me on Tuesday nights. However, this did not hinder me to constantly communicate to my other committee members. When time permitted this spring, I actively participated during Tuesday meetings, some of the flyering weeks, the production for Relay props, and the event itself.…

I want to be a member of the Matoaca Middle National Junior Honor Society, because I believe that I possess the right characteristics to be a part of your association. Some examples of these traits are leadership, citizenship, character, and service. I am very honored to be considered for this society, but there is more than just my GPA to be considered. Besides the obvious pluses to being a part of this association, I am looking to widen my horizons and join other groups and clubs in order to make myself a better student and person overall. With me entering the exciting and scary world of high school in a year, I am trying my hardest to learn more than just math and other academic studies, but social lessons, such as leadership and and…

The Alcoholics Anonymous meeting I attended was at the Parish Hall at the St. Stephen’s Church in Quinebaug, CT. The meetings are every Monday night at 7 PM. It was a small little hall with four long tables pushed together to give the feeling we were sitting in a circle. There was a row of additional seats behind one of the tables for extra people. It was a mixed group of about twenty men and women.…

As District Membership Growth and Reactivation Chair, I will make sure to work well within our district and reach out to schools that are potentially deactivating. In Membership Growth, I plan on establishing a goal with my committee and that it for our district to reach about 13,500 Key Club members by DCON 2018 in Oregon. By doing so, we will implement strategic ideas on how to increase membership throughout our whole district by creating effective advertisements for Key Club, tips on how to increase membership at a Key Club that is low on members, and make sure to share ideas with one another. I believe that the members are the essential building blocks for service at which Key Club strives for. For reactivating schools that no longer have a Key Club because they were deactivated, I will make sure to reach out the school's past or current Key Club President to find out the situation that they are in and make sure that they get the support they need in…

Greetings, Class of 2023. Today, we get to celebrate the culmination of our thirteen years of hard work in school with graduation, and I have been asked to deliver this year’s commencement speech. I would like to thank all of the people that have brought us here: family members, teachers, principals, and people who would go out of their way to encourage us to keep trying hard even in the midst of failure. Without you, we would not be standing on this stage today. I would like to start by defining the word “commencement.”…
