It's a lot different than middle school, and there are some things you should probably know. My #1 advice to you would be to plan ahead. Some students may wait until the last minute to do an assignment, and I can tell you that that won’t work out very well this year. I suggest keeping track of assignments and tests in a planner, then you will always know what is going on. It may sound stupid, but it really does work. Next, get involved. I heard this a lot at the beginning of the year and I kinda just thought 'Yeah, okay'. But now, I get that it was legitimate. The best thing you can do is join multiple clubs and sports. Last, is one that not many students would prefer to do, but it's really nice for the teachers. Every Friday, tell them to have a good weekend. As a teacher's daughter, I know how much work they put into every week, and sometimes weekends, to make sure you're learning the best you can. To know that it is appreciated, makes them feel
