My parents worked hard to make us self-confident, hard-working individuals and taught us to dream big and work towards to achieving them. I was born and raised in the North Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. My father had to drop out after high school to support my grandfather but he never complained and worked hard to gain skills needed to be successful in his job. However, he always felt that if he had a college education, it could have taken his career to a different level. From my childhood, I observed that my parents were a big advocate of getting a good education and doing well in studies. Despite having limited resources, my parents were determined to get us a good education. To save money, I went to a government school out of town from eighth class till high school. For almost five years, I traveled an hour by train every day at 6:00 am to reach school; however, I was determined to get a good education.
