I am writing to express my appreciation for the opportunity to serve the Town of Fairplay as a police officer and police chief over the past 5 years. When I accepted the position of police chief in July, 2014 I assumed responsibility for a department decimated by the dishonorable, unethical and illegal behavior of former employees. As a long-time resident of the Town I was faced with finding another job and uprooting my family or staying and taking on the task of rebuilding the department. I accepted the challenge with my primary goal making the Town of Fairplay a safer community and improving the reputation of the Fairplay Police Department(FPD). Everyone involved in the hiring process knew I had not previously served as a police chief.…
This showed everyone that they have helped in the apprehension of horrific criminals that were and still are a threat to everyone’s safety. Also, they are a trusted tool in helping with the…

Officer Collazo, I was your immediate supervisor since September 2, 2015, during which time you were assigned to the S2 patrol squad. During this time I quickly come to realize how dedicated of an officer you truly have become within the organization. Your proactive work ethic has been infectious amongst your peers which resulted in S2 being one of the highest productive squads in the department. Even with being a high performer in the agency, your reports are always completed in a timely and accurate manner with minimal to no errors. Your equipment and uniform is always in good working order and presence a professional image.…
Welcome to Base-ketbol Island. We here are Astros and Rockets fans. We like to hang out, have fun, and watch sports. The reason we are a mix of sports is because our ruler, Lil’ Lily, didn't know if she liked baseball or basketball more, so she just used them both. We have had no wars or things like that in the past because why would we?…

Hi Instructor Berg, I just wanted to inform you that I am skeptical about my presentation tomorrow, as I am nervous to actually face the class and present. If by tomorrow, in class, I'm yet to adjust, then I may not partake in the presentation. Howbeit, I will be in class and I will try to pay attention as much as I can, and possibly ask questions, if necessary.…
Fellow Americans, lend me your undivided attention for a moment. We all are aware of the ongoing war in Europe. Some are calling it “World War 2” while others call it “The Survival War” but I call it an opportunity! A few weeks ago, the Japanese attacked our base, Pearl Harbor, when we did nothing to deserve it! The Germans are also sinking our ships, some even carrying innocent passengers.…
This past year you've grown up so much, so much so that sometimes I wonder if you're actually about to turn 5 not 3. You became a big sister this year and started pre-school - both of which you love, although I'm not so sure you will when you actually do turn 5. You love Paw Patrol, Toy Story & Scooby Doo. You love being a superhero, a police officer and a princess too. You also love to sing on the top of your voice to "Let it go" and more recently, Christmas songs, which I fear you'll still be singing come July.…
I am an eighth grader at McCord Junior High School. My English class is writing letters to veterans, and thanking them for Veterans Day. I am very thankful for your service. I thank you for protecting me, and everyone in America. I thank you for putting yourself in danger, for me and everyone in America.…
On January 13, 2017, your actions directly contributed to preventing an inmate suicide. While the inmate was experiencing an internal and possibly everlasting emotional conflict, your distinctive ability in approach and inquiry of the situation at that moment was crucial. The inmates’ perceived day was his lowest point and his only seeming alternative to his conflict and his future was about to end. Your direct communications to this inmate was the catalyst to the inmate’s first step in recovering from his professed suicide. I take great pleasure in congratulating you on a “Job Well Done” and your distinctive competence of continued performance.…
As I walked into the school of DollyHigh, everyone congratulated me on becoming Valedictorian on the campus. I moved in Dolly about four years ago after my mom and dad got a divorce. Although the divorce done me and my mom bad we both knew we needed to start our own new lives. I remember walking into Dolly high for my freshman year and remembering what it feels like to be known as “The New Kid” or “Fresh Meat”. Look at me now, the Cheer captain of the squad, Valedictorian, and joining in on many clubs to make my collage record look professional.…
It is my great honor and pleasure to welcome you to the Copeland Insurance Group Law Enforcement Appreciation Dinner. My years of experience as a prosecutor, felony judge, and Chief Justice, left me with magnified gratitude and respect for our officers who put their lives on the line every day for our peace and security. So to all of our officers in the audience tonight, thank you from the bottom of my heart. For all of us, thank you to the officers in attendance tonight for their unfettered courage when it comes to fighting the the element of our communities bent mayhem. Just your presence removes temptation from those who might be tempted to stray from the straight and narrow.…
Kevin Kruse defines leadership as, “Leadership is a process of social influence, which maximizes the efforts of others, towards the achievement of a goal”. (Forbes, 2013) I agree with this definition because of the part stating “maximizes the efforts of others”. So isn’t that the responsibility and what you would expect from a Company officer, someone who can guide his/her crew to strive and be the best at what we do on a daily basis, putting all of what we have learned and know into making ourselves better. In today’s world, leadership is very hard to find, and when we look at the one’s we do have as leaders are we really satisfied with the direction in which they have taken us. When people think of leadership, we usually think of great patriotic leaders… Abraham Lincoln and George Washington, however most of us try not to think of Pablo Escobar or Fidel Castro and the atrocities they were responsible for.…
Greetings, Class of 2023. Today, we get to celebrate the culmination of our thirteen years of hard work in school with graduation, and I have been asked to deliver this year’s commencement speech. I would like to thank all of the people that have brought us here: family members, teachers, principals, and people who would go out of their way to encourage us to keep trying hard even in the midst of failure. Without you, we would not be standing on this stage today. I would like to start by defining the word “commencement.”…
