1)List any volunteer, extracurricular activities, or work experience in which you have been involved in the past two years. In the past two years I have helped the community in various ways. I have a passion for helping people and making a difference, I enjoy it because I believe little things you do for others will be returned as a favor to someone else and eventually the world will become a better place.To start off ever since I was young, I would volunteer at Saint Emydius church organizing events and having sales to give the money out to charity. I have been involved in Junior Committee which is where we raise money by selling food at events or any other products during school hours like senior grams for example. When I was volunteering at the library, they recommended me to volunteer at a middle school and so I did. During Fall semester I would go to Figueroa elementary school and help kids with their homework and projects. I would also participate in afterschool activities with them and read books aloud to a small group to help them expand their imagination. Besides helping the community, I was in cheer for my 11th grade year, I decided to join again after previously being involved in a varsity team for 3 years continuously.

My ninth and tenth year i slacked off a lot and it did not reflect my academic ability because I know I could have done better and that I am intelligent. However I started to really improve my 11th grade second semester year when one of my counselors finally explained to me what exactly is what colleges look for. No one had ever told me my test scores mattered or my gpa had to be over a 3.0 to get into a good school. That 's when I realized I had to improve drastically. And for that reason I always seek for help when i need assistance, I attend teacher 's office hours for tutoring or use khan academy to receive the help i need. I have also made up the classes in where i received an Np to boost my grades a little bit.
