Graduation Speech: Shadowing At A Medical School

Decent Essays
Hello Dr. Preminger,
This is Emily! I hope you had a nice Easter! Did your girls come home for Easter? I can't wait to show you pictures from my trip! It was amazing!
Anyway, I was wondering if I could shadow a nurse practitioner? Or if you knew someone that I can contact to shadow them? Or, if you knew of a physician assistant that I could shadow?
I'm thinking of shadowing during the summer that way it doesn't conflict with school too much.
I just want to get as much exposure to the field as possible before I officially start college! My semester ends on May 13th, so anytime after that I am free!
Thanks!

David Wallace Foster’s Kenyon College Commencement Speech is extremely successful for a multitude of reasons. It is not so much inspirational or revolutionary or epic, just simply honest. His speech is blunt about what people will face in their life after education. That adult life is boring, repetitive, trivial, tiring. Yet despite being adult life being unsatisfactory, Wallace always says it will only be those things because of your perspective.…

Everyone has a story and almost everyone wants to leave some sort of a legacy — to be remembered for something meaningful. Our legacy is part of ourselves that, will be left in the hearts and minds of others. Some people leave a positive and inspiring legacy while some people willingly or not, leave a negative one. Nobody wants their existence to be lost to time. And just like everyone I wants to be remembered for the love and kindness I shared that has all become too scarce in today’s world.…

As I walked into the school of DollyHigh, everyone congratulated me on becoming Valedictorian on the campus. I moved in Dolly about four years ago after my mom and dad got a divorce. Although the divorce done me and my mom bad we both knew we needed to start our own new lives. I remember walking into Dolly high for my freshman year and remembering what it feels like to be known as “The New Kid” or “Fresh Meat”. This summer I completed my field experience by shadowing a physician assistant named Adam Strantz. He works in a primary care office in Fremont, Michigan. The office, Spectrum Health Medical Group, was fairly small and included only two PAs and one physician. Before starting my shadowing, I set a few goals for myself to learn during my time there. Each and every one of my goals were met through my time there.…

Greetings, Class of 2023. Today, we get to celebrate the culmination of our thirteen years of hard work in school with graduation, and I have been asked to deliver this year’s commencement speech. I would like to thank all of the people that have brought us here: family members, teachers, principals, and people who would go out of their way to encourage us to keep trying hard even in the midst of failure. Without you, we would not be standing on this stage today. I would like to start by defining the word “commencement.”…

Graduation was a time to celebrate my achievements, to celebrate growing up and maturing into adulthood, to celebrate my friends and family that guided me along the way, and most importantly to celebrate one chapter coming to an end, and another one just beginning. The night before graduation I could hardly sleep as I knew that my high school career would soon be over. I got up that next morning, took a shower, put my makeup on, straightened my hair, and put my favorite black dress on, only this time I had my chords, cap, and gown to go with it.…
