Back to School, Really! Returning to school might just be a great place to begin my story. We all know that acquiring an education can be a scary experience, especially if you are approaching 50 years old. Therefore, when I made the decision to return to school, I knew it very well might be the hardest decision that I would ever have to make. I dreamed about this place, about campus life, or if it was too late for me to consider the notion. When I graduated from high school, there were no computers in used for personal or professional use. I felt hopelessly unprepared many times, consequently I knew I needed to overcome my negative thinking along with any apprehensions I had by focusing on the end goal, “Completing my education.” I completed my Applied Science Associates degree in Supply Chain Management in December of 2014. I did this while maintaining an overall GPA of 3.6 and higher, while graduating with honors as a member of Phi Theta Kappa and of Fox Valley Technical
