Teacher has always been considered a prestigious title. For many years when someone says, “I am a teacher” it would make people sit up and take notice. Teachers of today are still proud to carry the honor of being a teacher. The traditional protocol in the educational system was to allocate pay according to the years of service and the level of education obtain by the teacher. A new development has occurred of whether or not teachers of today are qualified to teach base on their performance as a teacher. There is a link to teacher’s compensation and their teaching career development that has come into question. Teacher were based on their skills and knowledge to reflect their pay. The time line has changed for teacher’s salary levels and structures. However, “During the late 1990’s and early 2000’s the state made a series of robust investments to enhance teacher salaries?
