It really tells me that there is much work to do when it comes to me becoming a good educator. Of course we cannot expect to know everything when we begin as educators, but what we can do is learn and acquire these strategies by reading and attending workshops. We have to be active in using our resources and really using the people around us to help us become better educators. My preparation though, is really connected to much of these standards since, most of what we are learning is exactly what most of these accredited agencies want teachers to be prepared for. Although, both are completely different, it shows that there are different ways to engage with people. These standards are great guides for us teachers to really help students grow and develop because it helps not just acquire knowledge by just reading a book, but by also gaining knowledge using skills such as social interaction and critical thinking. Watching my father who is a teacher also taught me that there are different ways of teaching students and much of what he talked about is the same thing much of these standards ask for a teacher to be prepared for when becoming an educator. Preparation is key and I hope to really master all these skills, while beginning my
