How to Survive Junior High Junior High can either be the best or worst years of your life. To survive Jr. High you will need to know how to bring these three things into your everyday life. You will need superior study skills. Figure out what study techniques will be best for you, whether you use flashcards or notes, make sure it’s the most efficient strategy for you. You will also need drive and perseverance to succeed in Junior High. Perseverance is crucial as you go through you Jr. High years. You will find yourself wanting to quit and give up, but let me tell you something, you will always make it through. You have to keep going even if you feel like you can’t do anything anymore. You feel feel worse about yourself if you give up on trying yo be the best you you can be. Time management is one of the key ways to keep going. If you set a time limit say math for 30 minutes, history for 45, etc. The amount of work won’t seem as big, and managing you time will cause less stress. When you manage your time properly, and feel less stressed, then the task of perseverance won’t seem so difficult. Finding the right group of kids will help you enjoy school more and make the tough times and the hard work easier. Although your friends should always make you happy and joyful, be able to take constructive criticism from your friends. Real friends will tell you when you are making a mistake and help you make the right one. I know that as people we automatically start defending ourselves, but sometimes you just need to listen to what other people have to say. You need to realize that people you hang out with is your reputation. If a bunch of your friends are doing something and you don't want to do it know that you shouldn't be hanging out with them because they are most likely not you real
