Everyone has a positive experience to share that has impacted his or her lives for the better. Graduating high school is a common milestone in every young person 's life, and for me, it has opened a whole new chapter in my life. Going through high school has taught me a variety of lessons such as discipline, structure, time management, and a sense of accomplishment. I 've also learned after those long four years, that in order to get what you want, you have to work hard and what you get is what you’ve earned. Growing up you realize that everything cannot be handed to you like in the past. Your responsibilities grow more and more every day.
Graduating from Fitzgerald High School has shown me several ways to resolve conflict and how to avoid problems in new ways. Such as, talking it out, in addition to being more understanding about other people 's opinions and beliefs. You have to always remember that everyone is different and their beliefs could be the complete opposite of yours. As long as you be nice and respect other’s opinions, you can get along with almost anyone. I 've also learned that in classrooms, to only speak when spoken to (as if the teacher calls you). Unless, the class has permission to talk and answer aloud or as a group answer. In my hometown high school, we had to follow the "Golden Rule" and

Your troubles can range from failing classes to losing friends, and worst of all, bullying. Luckily, I’m able to say I never had major problems with bullies, nor did I personally know anyone that was going through it at the time. Through it all, I 'm proud to say I made it. You can learn valuable lessons every day from going to school and really paying attention. If I ever get the chance, I would tell upcoming students that you can make it past your troubles and that you and only you has the ability to keep up your grades and strive every day to do the very best you

Someone once said, "Suffer the pain of discipline or suffer the pain of regret." This essentially means that discipline will be difficult to manage but it’s a finer choice than regretting your decisions later on. School can be difficult, but the pain of the self-command and devotion will get you much further in your education than lackadaisical and deprecate. It seems to me that future freshmen with a hard work ethic and commitment should attend Early College High School because it saves the student time, money and you provides a safe atmosphere with a supportive audience. My life began to spiral downward before fifth grade began. I found myself an endless loop over summer vacation of waking up, experiencing the day as a blur, sleep, then repeat. This drove me to discover a new way to spend my day. On the television I noticed a recurring advertisement for a game called ‘World of Warcraft’. At first I instilled the mindset that I could spend my time pragmatically but eventually I succumbed to boredom.…

A dilemma that I faced, and still am facing is simply the decision about what I want to do with my life after my high school career. In my freshman year of high school my goal was simply to get through the year in one piece. I was forced to conform to my new environment and all the strict rules that came along with it. Along with that it was the sudden transition from being the "big dogs" as eighth graders at my middle school to being "fresh-meat" in my first year high school. With so much attention placed on me as a freshman like on the varsity basketball team, where I was constantly forced to prove my worth to the coach and the players, to stepping out of my comfort zone and performing in a mandatory play for the rest of the the school as…

High school. People say it’s either the best or worst four years of your life. Of course they never give you the details of what makes them the worst or best years. Which means, I, a terrified 8th grader convince myself that they will be the worst four years of my life. Honestly it is easy to guess that.…

I walked into the familiar main entrance of the school, crossing my arms and setting my face into what I thought was an intimidating glare. Although I looked like an angry toddler, with my round face and childish glower, my attitude came across very clearly: I was not happy at all to be back at school. After getting into a huge fight with my friend group earlier that year, I was starting high school essentially friendless. It wasn’t as if I didn’t have another group of people to fall back onto.…

Houston, Texas; surrounded by sweaty strangers, stomach stuffed with roast beef sandwich, and I listened to the band Waters for the first time. April, resembling preceding months, had been miserable. But as I stood there listening to the song "Mom & Dads", the concert grew beyond just a fun time; it became an escape from the past year. Purchasing the band's CD became my heart's only desire and money was no object; I'd listen to that one song over and over as it became the soundtrack to regaining control of my life.…

It was the end of third grade and all of my friends and I were talking about who we wanted as a teacher the next year. Everyone wanted Mrs. Graham or Mrs. Friend because they were considered the “nicer” teachers. I didn’t really care who I had as long as they didn’t yell very much because it always scared me when they did that. I was the kid who always got upset when I saw that the teachers were yelling or mad at someone. My mom had told me that she didn’t request any certain teacher for me to have so it was going to be a surprise the next year when I found out.…

I dealt with life in school and outside of it as well, it can get extremely hectic when you have loads of homework to complete and attain a job afterschool. Overcoming such a task for about the second half of my high school career made me feel positive about myself. Graduating from high school gave me the confidence to handle any obstacle I have to face in life and conquer it.
