High School Experience Kindergarten through tenth grade I attended Triton Schools. I then transferred to Hayfield High School my junior year. I chose to transfer because I wanted more of a challenge, I felt as if triton were too easy. Triton school wasn’t very challenging; their academic standards were much lower than Hayfield’s. Hayfield started out to be more challenging, due to the fact that their math classes specifically were in a different order than Triton’s. I completed algebra 1 in ninth grade at triton and took geometry my sophomore year, but then when I transferred to hayfield my junior year I was in a class with sophomores completing algebra 2. I found my high school experience to be motivational. The first reason I found my high school experience to be motivational is because it helped me accept new changes. Change is very hard for me. . New things scare me in the fear of not knowing how they will turn out. Going into this change I was very nervous. I showed up to the first day of school not knowing anyone or where to go. I didn’t know the school or how they worked, the rules …show more content…
Our counselor told us out future depending on out education. She also told us that how we did was on us and what we did to get there. I agree with her I truly believe it is on us, no one can earn our grade for us. If you struggled and didn’t get help your grade reflected that, but if you asked for help your grade improved. Our future depends on our education a lot of jobs you need special schooling for. Without a high school diploma it’s hard to find a job that can support you. By actually listening to this speech it helped me to push myself forward and to be my best. Every time I started to slip I would replay her words through my mind and use that to motivate me. She said many good things that day but these two are the ones that stuck with me and really helped

High school was either going to help me make it or break it. Bell High School was not among the top high schools in my district. It was known for its high drop out rates, teen pregnancies, and gang violence. As I rushed to school attempting to finish my homework because I was not able to finish while babysitting, I always herd “Hey come take a hit “or “ look at this new product, try it out”, we all wanted to succeed, but nobody wanted to put in the time and effort to divert us from the wrong paths. Unfortunately, this led may students towards drug addictions and gang violence.…

The move from a tight-knit school of 650 students to a public school with 2,000 students was terrifying. My grades through junior year dropped as I got a sense of how the real world is; teachers don’t repeat the assignment, grading errors don’t fix themselves, and I had to learn how to fight…

By talking to my mom and friends, they all felt that I should do whatever is best for me. It was ultimately up to me whether or not I would leave Connally High School. Upon looking, I was stuck between two high schools in the Waco area. I decided to visit one of them, University High School. When I stepped into the building, I immediately felt that I was in my first high school again because of University’s size, a student body of over 1,000 students.…

Over the years I have worked very hard in high school to achieve at the highest level. My wide variety of involvement in school, sports, and the community has made my me who I am. The time I have put in to be successful in all these areas as I received scholarship offers to play football in college, qualified for state in FBLA, and even danced on stage at Dancing with the O Club Stars have all made me who. Despite stressful nights I ultimately chose to follow the school I’ve always wanted to go to and give up sports which is The University of Wisconsin–Madison.…

Freshman year of high school is scary for anyone, the enormous transition from being a top dog at middle school, back to an underclassman; wondering if your high school teachers will be as unforgiving as your 8th grade teacher’s descriptions, or even just that uncertainty that comes along with any major change. As a homeschooler entering school system for the first time, and having completely skipped 8th grade, it was terrifying. I had no idea what to expect, I worried about being behind the other students, or having missed something in my homeschooling curriculum, even interacting with other kids was all unfamiliar. It definitely didn’t help that, at 13, I was the youngest person in the building. Just two days into the school year, I discovered that P-AP world…

High school is actually a lot better than it seems. The classes in high school are pretty similar to the classes in middle school. We’ve been covering the same things I learned in middle school, but a little more in depth. The only class that I don’t have much experience in is Chemistry, but that’s not really supposed to be a freshman class anyway.…

I’ve heard that out of all the middle school classes, eighth grade is the most enjoyable. Going on school trips, bonding with our buddies, and even just hanging out as the big guys on campus contribute to this opinion. Although I am sure that this year will be a blast I still have concerns on how my health will affect my experience. Grades are also another worry of mine and how my year will influence my work. Ashland, Yosemite, the Pumpkin Patch, Star King, and the East Coast are some of the examples of the places we visit during our year.…

Through my experience, my freshman and sophomore years as a musician were terrifying. On top of the shock of the new atmosphere at school, I had to play my instrument with and in front of others, which was quite a stretch for me at the time. I would always beat myself up about minute mistakes I had glorified during rehearsals, playing tests, and especially auditions. However, after I did not make an Illinois Allstate ensemble my junior year, my approach to these nerve-wracking situations completely changed. Instead of thinking failing negatively, those uncomfortable experiences actually made me improve as I had taken more auditions.…

I guess it is true that time does fly when you 're having fun. High school flew by even though it lasted four whole years. It felt much shorter than that. There were so many useful things that I learned throughout my high school career, and they weren 't only things that were taught to me in the classrooms. I learned so much from my friends, from my teachers, from the mistakes I made, and the people who weren 't exactly my friends.…
