The last day of my senior year of high school, all that ran through my head was, I am ready to start this next chapter of my life. I was never academically inclined so it was really intimidating but also exciting to show that I am growing up and becoming a man. College is the place to show that you are no longer that little kid who joked around in high school. The professors treat you like an adult and you do not have to raise your hand to use the rest room anymore. College gives you real life experiences and gets your ready for whatever career you have chosen. I had so many questions entering into college, I am not 100% sure what exactly I want to do with my life yet. I am basically taking some classes that can transfer over to another college so that I am not just sitting at home twiddling my thumbs. I am actually getting some classes out of the way. The college experience can help you learn some real life lessons that you deal with from day to day. College can help you think critically and …show more content…
Say you do not know exactly what you want to do just quite yet, you could take some basic classes in college until you figure it out. I have met a couple people just like me, who have an idea of what they want to do but aren 't sure just yet. It is better to take some basic classes and attend college than sit at home until you figure out what your future has in store for you. Expand your career options, try out different classes to see what interests you. For example, if you take a business class and you fall asleep the whole time or not even go at all, business probably is not for you. If you take an Automotive class and you look forward to those Tuesday-Thursday classes, you should infer that you have an interest for vehicles and working on them. Seek out different avenues and broaden your horizons, open up your mind and let your brain soak in the college

When I think of college, I think of the opportunities I'll gain to access the world. To me, a good citizen is someone who aspires to learn as much as they can about the world, and do as much as they can to connect to the different people that live in this world everyday. Travelling across the world, or even to the next state, allows for a person to have different experiences and have new relationships. These relationships are the foundation of our society, allowing for the spread of knowledge and perspectives.
