What I Know: Anytime you find yourself learning anything new, you’ll probably think of the teacher that taught you it. Teachers are in high demand right now, and good ones are even needed more. Whenever you walk into school, there is always a teacher working, not for their own benefit, but for our benefit. They are there taking on numerous responsibilities at the same time, only for the benefit of others. Teachers can also make a huge impact on their students lives, typically it is an impression that is left for the rest of their lives. First of, teachers are in high demand, and from what I’ve been told, male teachers are in even higher demand. Not many people decide to be a teacher because it is not considered to be a “prestigious” career. With the high demand of teachers, finding a job after college probably wouldn’t be too hard. For most schools, finding the best fit for the students and the class is the first priority, and it should be. To be a teacher, you need a bachelor 's degree, which is four years of college. Along with that degree, you also need a certain log of hours of teacher training in the classroom, better known as student teaching. However, some schools will require you to attain a master’s degree within a set time of being hired. Also to be able to be a teacher, you must have a teacher 's license. State boards or departments of education generally issue these licenses after you have earned your bachelor’s degree in education, take an official exam, and have done your student teaching (Degree).
