Lend me your eyes and ears for the next few minutes and I will give you a new perspective on success and achieving the American Dream. I hope that the past four years of your young lives have been memorable, and I hope that you have been set up with a mindset for success. You see, the way success is measured in school and the way it is measured in the real world is very different. In school, it is all about GPA. Do not let your life go to waste; make sure you live your live to the fullest. You must bust your butt to achieve success. There is no way around that. The entire concept of the American Dream is based on this ideology. It is no doubt disastrous to go through college not taking class seriously. You must get a good degree that will earn you money so that you may support your family. It is useless to get a degree in which you will not be able to get a job. But you must also keep in mind that you do not want to take a job that ensures you will be miserable because of it. You must prevail through the dark and dim moments of your life to reach the light at the end of the tunnel. No matter if you are sad, and lonely, and unhappy, and miserable; you must never give up. For the sadness in this world is temporary, but if you give up, then you lose everything. Remember what I told you today as you trek on through life, in the journey to achieve success.
