Graded Assignment 4 Reflection

Decent Essays
I have a question about our HW #4 corrections. I was planning on turning in my three and four corrections today but somehow my 4 corrections (and my whole graded assignment 4) went missing. I know that I got 3.92 completely wrong. You only gave me one point. I received a 15/20 total. If I can't find my graded assignment, can I turn in the corrected 3.92 only? I can see why I wouldn't be able to but its worth a try.

Reflection Memo of Assignment 1 As I was revising my essay of Assignment 1, I started reviewing the whole process of how I constructed, wrote and revised. I really enjoy the process of deeply unearthing the great memories during my process of English learning, which was unforgettable. It is hard for me to forget how my first English teacher taught me: she was harsher than any teacher I met, but what she taught was invaluable. To be honest, the process of producing such an essay was arduous: as a non-native English writer, it was hard to select accurate words while describing the learning process.…

For my final portfolio, I chose to revise a shorter essay, “Potential Ramifications of a Trump Presidency,” and a longer essay, “Assignment 7: Finding Place Research Project.” I chose these two essays specifically because of their differences. The former is shorter, more informal, and includes more of my thoughts and opinions. The latter is a longer research paper, and thus is more formal and less biased as I attempted to give a brief history of gentrification and its impacts on East Liberty.…

Short Term 12 was a very interesting movie. It had hints of being realistic, but with aspects where you knew it was a movie. It’s about a group of workers who work in a foster care residential facility setting. The main character, Grace, deals with her own personal struggles while she supervises the children at the facility. I have a short bit of experience at a facility like Short Term 12 in some aspects; I can see where parts of the movie are realistic and where are some are an exaggeration because it is a movie.…

Title Enrolling the EOF program has lighten up a path in life that would have gone completely undiscovered had I walked alone. Along the path was my introduction to college writing, a class that has improved my writing skills profoundly. At first the tasks given to us on the syllabus seemed daunting, almost insurmountable within the five-week period of the program; it seemed even more inconceivable with the class being only twice a week. However, with the guidance and instruction given to me by the professor and peers I was able to strengthen my work as a student.…

Despite the fact that I have faced challenges with the subject as of late, I would consider English to be one of my favorites. During my junior year, I was enrolled in AP English Language and Composition, and although it was the only class I did not receive an A grade in, it, without a doubt, altered how I perceive the world. English did not only improve my writing and analytical skills, but it also prepared me for life beyond my education. Being an AP class, the curriculum was designed to help me get the best score that I could on the AP test. Almost every class period, a discussion would be held regarding a specific topic, typically related to the unit we were focusing on at the time.…

For the focus lesson, I first returned the student’s preplanning sheets, which were “My family” bubble planning and “My small moment”. Since this was the second lesson, the students had already completed their planning sheets the day before. I gave feedback to students on these planning sheets and returned them to students at the beginning of the focus lesson. The first sheet of this was for the students to brainstorm and write ideas about their family members. The other sheet was “My small moment” sheet.…

My 3-practicum placements have provided me with different, but great learning experiences. I was able to practice what I have been learning in my other college courses in my practicums. Introduction The time I spent with my student during our tutoring sessions gave me a first-hand experience of how it is like on a student to teacher level. I learned a lot from my student, Kade, as I hope he also learned from me. During this time, I was able to observe his strengths and his weakness. I had to be flexible to cater my lesson plan to my student, so he could build upon what he learned and advance through more challenging activities.…
