The summary of this book is about a girl who does many everyday activities with her friends and family. She swims with her dad, she paints, she swing and she plays with her friends and she even rides horses. The pictures in this book show Susan being happy and doing all of these activities, but at the end of the book it reveals that she uses a wheelchair. The last page it shows Susan in a wheelchair and quotes “This is Susan-through and through-just like me, just like you”.

This book is for grade level K- 3.

This book is about animals doing the “animal boogie”. Bears shake trees, monkeys swing in the trees, elephants stomping their feet and bird flying in the sky. It provides pictures of children of different ethnic backgrounds. It shows a great amount of diversity. There are children who are black, white, brown and one girl who is in a wheelchair. I will most definitely be using this book in my classroom to show my students …show more content…
