Evan is surprised to see his ex-girlfriend that he thought was dead. After he realizes he is not delusional he converses with Grace. The Walker Hotel is important, because Evan needs support and help from his people, so he can respite and recover from his injures. The Walker Hotel is also important in the novel because after Evan shows up a young girl named Megan that Sam Cassie’s brother knows shows up. Sam is blithe when Megan arrived, but Evan noted that she is a bomb, because the aliens planted a CO2 bomb inside her body. Suppose Evan does not arrive to the Walker Hotel, the whole squad would have died because Sam’s friend is a bomb.
It can be concluded that the come back of the character Evan was a great purpose for the other characters in Rick Yancey’s book The Infinite Sea. After being forced to go to Grace’s house Evan also made adventure out to the settings of highway 68, and the Walker Hotel.
