In 2015, two radical Islamic men plotted and attempted to wreak havoc on a Mohammed cartoon contest in Garland, Texas. The men wanted to avenge the blasphemous depictions of the prophet Mohammed by showing up to the contest with weapons. Before the men could actually do any harm, they were both shot dead by law enforcement.
