The government of Vietnam is in a communist/socialist state, and the framework of the government is a single-party socialist republic. The call themselves the Socialist Republic of Vietnam The single-party is lead by the Communist Party of Vietnam. In a single-party government usually the government forces you to be part of this government, while all other political views or parties are outlawed or banned.

In the United States there are two main parties Republican and Democrat, but in Vietnam everybody from each branch of government is part of one party the Communist Party of Vietnam. In both Vietnam and in the United States, they appoint Justices. In the United States they are called the Supreme Court, and in Vietnam they are called the Supreme People’s Court. These Justices in both the United State government and the Vietnam government rule over the court system of each country. There are four courts in the Vietnam government and three in the United States government. The highest court in Vietnam is the Supreme People’s Court, after that is the superior court, followed by the provincial court, and the lowest court in Vietnam is the district court. The three courts in the United States is the Supreme Court, circuit court, and the lowest level court, the district court. In both the court systems they act in all ways to see if people are guilty for a crime they did. They start using the bigger courts if the crime or hearing is more important. A thing that is different about the courts is that in Vietnam the Supreme People’s write bills, and they give these bills to the General Assembly to try to get them passed as laws. This is different, because in the United States it is the complete opposite. The Senate and House, which act like the General Assembly writes bills, and tries to get the bills passed as laws.
