Based on the article, many employees at federals have a high possibility for not getting their salary. In addition, there are also many industries have to face a big problem because they do not get the full recovery. About 800,000 workers cannot continue their work on that time. They also need to work overtime to accomplish many works that not finish. In my opinion, I strongly agree with this statement. Based on an article, “Asia: Realities of Recovery” by Gerard Greenfield, economy crisis in year 1997 to 1998 in Asia, the same thing happened to several countries, such as China, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. Many federal officers need to work overtime to increase the efficiency of work that can stable the economy. After that, Mr. Edelstein and Mr. Handler who are Information Handling Services Global Insight, an economic research firm said that, “There will also be some impact from lost private-sector jobs tied to the shutdown, as well as a loss of consumer and business confidence resulting from the debt-ceiling showdown.” In my opinion, I strongly disagree with this statement. Based on my observation of Japan, it totally has a logic explanation to deny this statement. A devastating earthquake in Japan in 2011 destroyed many infrastructures and energy generators, especially nuclear power plants. However, they managed to “recover” very fast without the loss of consumers, the private sector 's jobs, and business confidence. On the other words, businessmen in Japan have a high spiritual motivation to recover the development of their country. The same thing must be applied to United States of America so that the government shutdown will not affect the businessmen in this country.
