Society today is working itself to death! According to alternet.org a study of 12,000 men with heart disease revealed that those who took vacations tended to live longer. How are people today expected to take a vacation? The average American works about 11 hours more per week than they did in the 1970’s. The average middle class income for families has decreased by about 13%. A vacation cost money, but when Americans work more and make less, this means they have less time and money to do the things they want to do. The government is almost always watching whether you know it or not. When the government has the ability to get its way, congressmen choosing their salary and world’s richest people owning more than half what the population does seems unfair. They watch and track our cars, and a voting system that does not perfectly line up.
