He Took a deep breath of the cool mountain air, closing his eyes and inhaling. After holding his pose for a second, letting it all exhale with a loud and pleased sigh. Opening his eyes he saw enormous mountain ranges stretching beneath him. He was about 5 feet away from a sharp cliff face that lead to a gruesome demise. The sigh gained the attention of his horse behind him that refused to approach the cliff. Occasionally neighing at the biting cold. The horse was well dressed for the cold, as was his rider, but the conditions were far from nice. Although it was a sunny cloudless day, on the top of the mountain it was absolutely freezing, and the winds were howling as loud as ferocious beasts. Taking in the sight he turned around

He anchored the bottom of the bow in the soft soil and after a few seconds of rest began to string the arrow. Carefully sliding the arrow into place, and making sure that it was taught, he relaxed and waited. Seemingly hours had passed and he stood waiting, His horse becoming upset, neighed with discontent. With a sudden change in wind he knew it was coming. Seemingly nothing had changed but he got himself ready. With a great pang of effort he pulled the string back along with its massive payload. Along with the sound of the dirt shifting positions, came an incredible sound, unlike anything possible. A distant but majestic roar filled the sky as a scarred fully grown wyvern came into sight. It was massive, with glinting scales and a long tail. Barely seeable to the distant eye but the arched seemed not to care. After a small amount of repositioning, the bow was turned to its target. Another roar came out across the valley as it asserted its dominance over its lands. Just as the arrow was loosed. The earth cracked with the release of the tension and the air bursted with the release of the arrow that quickly faded from sight. The archer fell back to his resting pose as he waited. Another roar from the wyvern came out and was quickly cut short as a small fountain of blood suddenly appeared at the base of the wyvern tail. The man cursed under his
