My heart stopped. I gaped at Blake or Loki or whoever he was in utter terror. My hands were clammy, my face soaked in sweat. I opened my mouth to scream, but only a small squeak emerged. I told myself to run, but my feet would not obey, and I stood rooted to the spot. He stormed towards me, a pure malicious grin upon his face, and sneered “shame, I was really starting to like you.” In one fluid motion he had cast his golden scepter aside and grabbed me by the throat. He lifted me up as if I weighed no more than a feather. I could feel his grasp on my neck slowly tightening as I kicked and squirmed, desperately clawing at his hand. It was no use, my lungs felt as though they were on fire, struggling for air and my vision started to blur. I stopped fighting, giving up completely. Loki grabbed his scepter and fired a blast of icy blue light. The captain leaped to the side, but was hit on the arm, he cried out in pain before quickly waving it away and rushing towards Loki. I felt an apoplectic rage fill my chest. Steve Rogers fought with a fury of punches, most of which were easily avoided. Neither of them spoke, battling in silence. Loki raised his scepter and with a quick slash left a long scar along Captain America’s face. I cried out and grabbed my cheek, when I pulled my hand away it was covered in blood.
