Gospel Of Matthew Research Paper

The reading of the Gospel of Matthew has many lessons that I personally can connect or relate to my life. More specifically, the reading applied to my life when Jesus talked about faith. God has made it clear to me and has reawakened my whole body and soul by saying, “ye have little faith”, (Matthew 8:26). In other words, over the last few weeks my faith was dropping drastically, because of doubt and fear. The life I was living in and the challenges that I accepted were giving me a negative sense of failure. God then bluntly responded by saying again, “ye have little faith”. The fact that he said that to me twice has empowered my spiritual faith in God. Even though this encounter of God’s presence was not simply an emotion, or an experience

The actual date of Jesus' birth is not known, but it appears that Jesus was born sometime between 7 and 5 B.C in Bethlehem. 25 December was fixed as his birth date more than 500 years after the event on purely hypothetical data. There is not one Jesus birth story in the gospels, but two. These gospels include Matthew and Luke, where they state that he was born of the virgin mother, Mary, without a male parent. However, Joseph the carpenter has been considered to be his father.…

What my husband's advancement to Chief Petty Officer means to me? The answer of that question could be 10 pages long or I could just resume what I feel in one word, "extremely proud", well I guess two words. I met Christian 16 years ago, he was full of energy, funny, and he had the ability to turn any sad or bad situation into a joke making everybody laugh; that is what make me fell in love with him. On the other hand, he was a little immature, unfocused when it comes to work, and nothing seemed to fulfill his expectations. I always knew that his passion was a career in the military, but that was out of question in my book!…

The conflict between the Christians and the Jesus Seminar has been an ongoing struggle since 1985. The Jesus Seminar, founded by Robert Funk, originated in 1985 as around 70 biblical scholars set out to determine the legitimacy of Jesus’ sayings (Dart). The Seminar focused on the historicity of Jesus using the best methods of science and literary criticism as it pertains to the Bible. Funk believed that the gospel writers had made Jesus into a “larger than life” figure in order to satisfy their religious desires. The Jesus Seminar’s goal is to rid the historical figure of Jesus from “Christian legend and myth” and to find out who Jesus really was and what he really said (Craig).…

It was God’s promise that His Son Jesus would descend from Abraham and be the Messiah. The Gospel of Matthew 1:1-16 lists the genealogy of Jesus and he includes four women who were gentiles: Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, and the wife of Uriah. God wanted His Son to be the Savior for all people, both Jews who believed in God, as well as gentiles who were non-believers. To fulfill his promise to Abraham and also make certain that Jesus would be the Messiah for everyone, God needed to make certain that some mothers to Jesus’ ancestors were non-Jews. God worked through these gentile women to make sure the ancestral line continued from Abraham to Jesus and that His Son would be the Savior for the whole world.…

In the Bible, there are many passages from the Gospel where Christians learn about prayer from Jesus. Prayer as many Christians already know is the communication between us and God. Jesus learned how to pray from his beloved mother Mary, the Jewish tradition and even on his own. During Jesus’ ministry, Jesus taught us how to pray by giving us instructions on how to pray and using parables in order to teach us about a message or prayer in the Gospel. In the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John they are five specific passages that help us learn about prayer from Jesus.…
