Gospel Essentials Who am I, where did I come from, where do I go after death? These questions may have crossed your mind, and yet left you wondering. Humanity has been placed in a beautiful world filled with ciaos and destruction, love and compassion but we only have a glimpse of understanding to our purpose. When answering the question of who you are, it is vital to understand God, his divinity, strategy and creations.

“Redemption refers to the act of regaining the value of something that was originally lost. In the biblical story, redemption concerns two aspects: the return of humanity to God through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross and the restoration of the human heart to relationship with God.” (Merrick J.) Knowing that we have a savior is important to Christianity because we believe that it is only possible way to have eternal life through Christ. In 2 Corinthians 5:17-21 it says, “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation” the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” (Holy Bible) It is understood through these verses of scripture, that through Christ we are made new again, he was the sacrificial lamb for our personal sins. He was the only perfect being that could pay our debt for us. By putting Christ in the center of our lives we become a restored person. “Although sin is the great destroyer, Christ has the power to redeem all.”
