As I was on top of my neighborhood hill in Oklahoma, I watched the sun gracefully rise as the golden rays cut through the immense blue sky. The spectacular view instantly made me smile. As school was coming around the corner, I knew I had to do one last stunt. Sitting next to me was a brand new solar-powered jet pack that I stole from my dumb, rich neighbor. Usually, I would feel some guilt for stealing, but not this time because I knew I would return it without him knowing. I was flying, high up in the atmosphere, zooming past clouds, skirting birds, and basking in the hot sun. The sky, a never-ending vast expanse of teal blue, surrounded me, as I flew somewhere. I felt like I was on top of the world. The air rushed past me creating a soft whistle in my ear, but making my body cool. I don't know why, but I was so excited and joyous.…

“The free bird leaps on the back of the wind and floats downstream till the current ends and dips his wings in the orange sun rays and dares to claim the sky. ” If I was to leave Oklahoma, there is one thing I am sure I will always miss: the vibrant sunset of a warm summer day by the lake. When I see the birds fly right over the horizon line, diving into the glimpse of beauty, in a moment that I’m always too slow to catch on camera, I stop and think. Think about every opportunity I have received.…

Have you ever got to enjoy hot and ready breakfast in bed? Well, I have, on the day I got to go to Six Flags which to be exact was February the second, twenty-thirteen. Oh, the smell of apple wood honey bacon with two over-medium eggs with a hash brown intrigued with cheese and onions in the middle is the smell of breakfast at its finest. The morning was also a treat in itself with the view of the marvelous, enchanting sunrise and the bluebonnets that my family and I have planted in our backyard gave the right appearance for the new day. Now, this was a Saturday so there’s no school…

The boys were getting older, and one of them mentioned a go-cart one day, inspiring me to make another one. The fifth one would have a 5HP engine, a real clutch and motorcycle wheels with integral wheel brakes. We had an area to drive it on the road behind us was not developed much. Each time I built one, I made the design simpler and at this point it could be put together in a couple weeks. The balloon-type wheels cushioned the ride on the rough local streets and provided excellent braking.…

It was a mild, dark summer day in the Alaskan wilderness so I was out hunting with one of my buddies, Alex Smith. Me and and Alex first met in 5th grade, we’ve been close friends ever since. I had a Beretta Ballista that shoots a .308 Lapua Magnum so I could shoot long distances and Alex had a AR-15 that shoots a 5.56*.39. I was in the deep woods in a treestand and Alex was just about 20 yards away in a ground blind. I saw some movement in the distance but it was very dark at night with no moon…

Personally, I don't think that I would open my business up next to a competitor. While the video gave great reasons as to why you should, and why other businesses do - i.e. to keep eye on their competitors, and to make sure that their business isn't be overshadowed (passive voice) - I still think that opening further away would give better advantages for a business. By opening up further away, my business would be able to serve those who live more closely, and wouldn't force them to have to drive further and have to choose between my business or the other business. Also, by keeping my distance from my competitor, I would be able to truly run my business, and show my strengths as a business to customers, instead of constantly having to worry…

Reflective Essay This past summer -- 2016 – was beautiful, amazing, fantastic, and I completely loved every second of it. I say this because I did a lot of things in this long vacation like, buy shoes and wallets. Speaking of shoes, I wore yellow Adidas originals when I rode the airplane to do a parachuting activity. Meaning I jumped off a plane, which was really scary. We didn’t even plan to go parachuting, it just happened so suddenly.…
